Tidying Up for 2022

One thing I take for granted is that my wife and I generally have the same opinions about outdoor plants. Neither of us wanted to cut back an azalea that was covering a large window in the front of our home, and only she was brave enough to grab the pruning shears and shape it down a bit. I know some plants need to be pruned, but there’s something very special about a plant just doing its thing. When I went inside after she was done, though, it all just made sense: it was blocking some of the light, and with it out of the way, now more light can enter the home.

It’s not a drastic change, but it’s something. And that’s kind of how I feel about where I’m at with this site. I have a lot of old tutorials that I’ve left up out of habit, and even ended up bringing back some other archived ones after a kind stranger reached out and requested them. These are old, unorganized, and frankly, really just here because I haven’t let them go yet. Meanwhile, I’ve got a handful of unfinished books and educational content that have been collecting electric dust.

So I’m doing a big clean-up. I’m changing out the theme, breathing new life into a few old projects, and pruning off dead branches so that I can focus on growing the strong and healthy ones.
